Until our next life

As the last tear rolled from my cheek. I knew he wasn’t coming back and I wouldn’t see him again.

I’ve waited many of lifetimes for you to come to me. I never got a chance to call you 'mine' but I was graced with your presence longer than most have ever had.

I never say, "Good-Bye" at least not out loud but I have to say it to you. I can’t keep holding on, it’s holding me back.

I swallow the lump in my throat and hold back the tears…
